Overview

Sean provides strategic counsel and representation in antitrust, consumer protection, and business litigation matters. With extensive experience in all phases of litigation, Sean has a proven track record of success in handling complex legal issues and providing insightful legal strategies for his clients.

Sean's civil trial experience spans both bench and jury trials in state and federal courts, particularly in antitrust litigation. During his time at the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, he was a member of the Civil Conduct Task Force, a special unit dedicated to investigating and prosecuting civil violations of federal antitrust statutes. In that role he played key roles in high-profile cases such as United States v. Apple and United States v. Cargill. He also provides counsel on compliance with antitrust laws and price gouging statutes, ensuring his clients navigate these complex areas effectively.

From his tenure at Am Law 100 law firms, Sean has extensive experience counseling clients through the antitrust implications of proposed mergers and acquisitions. He provides guidance throughout the entire process, from structuring deals to mitigate antirust risk, handling Hart-Scott-Rodino filings, answering second requests, and litigating challenged transactions.

Beyond antitrust and litigation, Sean has a strong background in constitutional and administrative law, gained from his time as an Attorney-Adviser in the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel. In that role, he provided controlling legal advice to the President and executive branch agencies on complex and novel legal questions. He has inside knowledge of the federal rulemaking process and can drive favorable outcomes in petitioning federal agencies and challenging regulations. Sean also clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia for Judge David Sentelle and at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for Chief Judge Royce C. Lamberth.

Sean is also dedicated to community leadership. At New York University School of Law, Sean was a recipient of the AnBryce Scholarship, awarded to first-generation college students who have proven themselves to be leaders in the face of challenging social and economic circumstances. He later served as a Trustee and Chair of the Advisory Council for the AnBryce Foundation.
