Overview

Mike is a senior associate in the Litigation Department who concentrates his practice in the areas of energy infrastructure, oil and gas production, real property, commercial litigation, construction, professional liability, and trade secrets disputes. He represents clients in state and federal courts, as well as before the American Arbitration Association.

In addition to his energy infrastructure work, Mike possesses significant experience in handling complex commercial disputes across various areas of law. He aids oil and gas exploration and production companies in navigating regulatory and landowner issues. His diverse practice also includes commercial litigation, professional liability, contractual liability, construction disputes, trade secret protection, and covenant not to compete cases.

Before his legal career, Mike worked in the energy industry for a local oil and gas company, interned at the Ohio Attorney General’s PUCO Section, and assisted in eminent domain proceedings for major pipeline projects. He has conducted title research and review in 14 Ohio Recorder’s offices, including full probate and mineral chains, and reviewed titles for a linear pipeline project involving hundreds of properties across 18 Ohio counties. During law school, Mike clerked at a regional defense firm that handled a wide variety of litigation matters.
