Porter Wright welcomes Bob Joynes to growing Washington, D.C. team

Porter Wright is pleased to announce that Bob Joynes has joined the firm as a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Washington, D.C. office. With experience in preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, Bob will play a key role in advancing the firm's capabilities in serving domestic and international intellectual property clients.

Bob brings a wealth of experience in securing global patent protection tailored to clients' business objectives. His strategic counsel encompasses patentability, validity, patent term extension, and clearance matters.

Bob has served as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and as a Technology Licensing Specialist in the Office of Technology Transfer at the National Institutes of Health.

Bob is admitted to practice in Maryland and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and American Association for the Advancement of Science. Bob received his Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, his law degree from University of Baltimore School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Loyola College in Maryland.
