AILA presents Robert Cohen with the 2024 Susan D. Quarles AILA Service Excellence Award

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has presented partner Robert Cohen with the 2024 Susan D. Quarles AILA Service Excellence Award, in recognition of his outstanding service, over a period of years, in advancing the mission, development, and value of AILA for its members and the public it serves.

With more than 16,000 members across the U.S. and the globe, AILA has a reach and breadth of knowledge of immigration law that is unparalleled. Rob Cohen is an AILA member who have given countless hours of service to the organization. He is legendary among AILA members and volunteers for being engaged and interested in opportunities to educate and inform the community. If you have a question, any question, that he can offer insights on, he is there to answer it. Regardless of how busy his schedule is, he will find the time to be the resource you need, point you in the right direction, and make you smile while doing so. He cares deeply about his AILA colleagues as people, and after an interaction with him, one is guaranteed to be in a better frame of mind, ready to face whatever challenges arise.

Rob’s primary area of practice is immigration and nationality law. He has extensive experience in all aspects of business and family immigration procedures. He has served as Ohio AILA chapter chair and is also a past chair of the USCIS Benefits Committee, the Nebraska Service Center Liaison Committee, and the Board of Trustees of the American Immigration Council. He has also served as a board member of the Community Refugee & Immigration Services and the Columbus Jewish Historical Society.
