Sean Aasen joins Porter Wright’s growing Washington D.C. team

Porter Wright is pleased to announce the addition of Sean Aasen to the firm’s Washington D.C. office as Of Counsel in the Litigation Department. With extensive experience in all phases of litigation, Sean has a proven track record of success in handling complex legal issues and providing insightful legal strategies for his clients.

Sean provides strategic counsel and representation in antitrust, consumer protection, and business litigation matters. His civil trial experience spans both bench and jury trials in state and federal courts. Prior to joining Porter Wright, Sean served in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division where he was a member of the Civil Conduct Task Force, a special unit dedicated to investigating and prosecuting civil violations of federal antitrust statutes, and he also worked as an Attorney-Adviser in the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel, where he provided controlling legal advice to the President and executive branch agencies. Sean completed clerkships at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia for Judge David Sentelle and at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for Chief Judge Royce C. Lamberth.

Sean is a graduate of New York University School of Law and Oberlin College.
